20Mil HDPE Geomembrane Lining Corrosion Resistant For Fish / Shrimp Ponds
Yixing Shenzhou HDPE Geomembrane For Fish / Shrimp Ponds
HDPE geomembrane is a reliable, durable, and cost-effective lining solution for anti-seepage and waterproofing. Its combination of impermeability, strength, and chemical resistance makes it an essential material for environmental protection, water conservation, mining, petrochemical, and agricultural projects worldwide.
Applications of HDPE Geomembrane
Geomembranes find extensive use in water containment systems, such as reservoirs, ponds, and canals. By acting as impermeable liners, they help conserve and manage water resources, prevent seepage, and maintain water quality. In addition to water containment, geomembranes serve as effective tools in erosion control, stabilizing slopes, and protecting shorelines from degradation due to wave action and erosion.

How to Use HDPE Geomembrane?
1.Site Preparation
Clear the area of sharp objects, roots, stones, or debris that could puncture the liner.
Level and compact the subgrade to provide a smooth surface.
If needed, place a geotextile cushion layer beneath the geomembrane for extra protection.
2.Liner Deployment
Unroll the HDPE geomembrane carefully on the prepared surface.
Avoid dragging the liner to prevent scratches or tears.
Allow the sheets to relax and fit naturally to the ground surface.
3.Seaming / Welding
Overlap adjacent sheets (usually 10–15 cm).
Use hot wedge welding or extrusion welding machines to fuse seams.
Ensure seams are strong, watertight, and tested for leaks.
4.Inspection & Testing
Perform non-destructive tests (air channel test, vacuum test, or spark test) to check seam quality.
Repair any defects immediately.
5.Anchoring & Covering
Anchor the geomembrane edges into trenches or fix with ballast to prevent movement.
If required, cover with soil, sand, gravel, or concrete for UV protection and stability.
Practical Tips
Install during calm weather (avoid strong winds).
Keep the geomembrane clean and dry before welding.
Only trained technicians should operate welding equipment.
Store rolls in a shaded area to prevent UV damage before use.
