This product is a High-Precision Solid Carbide Spotting Drill (also referred to as a Center Drill or Chamfer Cutter). Engineered for modern CNC machining and precision machine tools, its primary function is to create an accurate starter indentation or "dimple" prior to drilling. This prevents subsequent twist drills from walking or veering off-center, ensuring strict hole alignment while also doubling as an efficient tool for hole chamfering.

Three Precision Point Angles for Versatile Machining:

120° Point Angle: Ideal for spotting prior to using standard drills with a 118° to 135° point angle. It ensures that the outer cutting lips of the subsequent drill engage the workpiece before the chisel edge, minimizing drill deflection and wear.

90° Point Angle: The most versatile option. It delivers a dual-purpose solution by providing both precise center positioning and creating a perfect chamfer for standard 90° countersunk screws.

60° Point Angle: Suited for applications requiring a sharper, deeper center indentation, specific imperial chamfers, or precise center holes on lathe workpieces.

Premium Carbide Substrate & Advanced Coating: Manufactured from high-grade solid tungsten carbide, the cutting head is enhanced with an advanced bronze-colored nano-coating (such as AlTiN). This coating offers exceptional red-hardness and a low friction coefficient, allowing the tool to withstand intense heat during high-speed cutting while drastically extending tool life.

Optimized Dual-Flute Design: The precision-engineered spiral flutes facilitate smooth, rapid chip evacuation. This prevents chip packing and built-up edge (BUE), resulting in an outstandingly clean surface finish.
