Product Overview
ERNiCr-3 is a solid nickel-chromium alloy welding wire designed for welding dissimilar metals, especially nickel alloys to stainless steels and low-alloy steels. It is equivalent to Inconel® 82 and classified under UNS N06082. The wire provides excellent mechanical properties and superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion, particularly in high-temperature service environments.
Suitable for both TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) processes, ERNiCr-3 ensures smooth arc characteristics, minimal spatter, and strong, crack-resistant welds. It is commonly used in petrochemical, power generation, and nuclear industries where joint reliability under thermal stress and chemical exposure is critical.
Key Features
- Excellent resistance to oxidation, scaling, and corrosion
- Suitable for welding dissimilar metals (e.g., Ni alloys to stainless steels or carbon steels)
- High tensile strength and creep resistance at elevated temperatures
- Stable arc with clean bead profile and low spatter
- Good resistance to cracking during welding and service
- Reliable metallurgical compatibility with a wide range of base metals
- Conforms to AWS A5.14 ERNiCr-3 and relevant international standards
- Used in both overlay and joining applications
