Rotoplastic Molding Process Overview
Custom plastic tank rotoplastic molding, also known as rotary molding, involves loading a measured quantity of powder resin into a cold mold. The mold rotates slowly around two vertical axes while being heated externally, allowing the resin powder to melt and evenly coat the entire mold cavity surface through gravity. The result is a hollow product obtained after cooling and demolding.
Compared to extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding processes, rotoplastic molding is particularly suitable for producing large and medium-sized or complex plastic products, offering advantages such as minimal internal stress.
