ASME SB622 HASTELLOY® C-276 tubes are premium corrosion-resistant components designed for critical heat exchange applications, combining robust mechanical properties with exceptional durability in harsh chemical and thermal environments.
Material Composition
- Primary Elements:
- Nickel (Ni): ~57% (balance)
- Chromium (Cr): 14.5-16.5%
- Molybdenum (Mo): 15-17%
- Tungsten (W): 3-4.5%
- Iron (Fe): 4-7%
- Impurity Limits:
- Carbon (C): ≤0.01% (minimizes sensitization during welding)
- Silicon (Si): ≤0.08%, Manganese (Mn): ≤1%, Sulfur (S): ≤0.03%
- Cobalt (Co): ≤2.5%, Vanadium (V): ≤0.35%
Performance Characteristics
- Excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments
- Resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (SCC)
- Performs well in sulfuric, hydrochloric, and acetic acids, chlorides, and sour gas (H₂S)
