The alligator shear operates with an upper and lower blade structure similar to crocodile jaws. Hydraulic pressure generated by the pump system drives the main cylinder, controlling the interactive shearing motion between the upper movable blade and lower fixed blade to efficiently cut materials placed in the opening.
