The GSM03 Series Universal SMT Single Splice Tapes are high-performance adhesive solutions specifically engineered for carrier tape applications in Surface Mount Technology processes.

Applications
The GSM0308 Single Splice Tape enhances SMT efficiency by providing reliable connections between carrier tapes, ensuring continuous component feeding to pick-and-place machines. This is particularly valuable in high-volume production environments where uninterrupted operation is critical for productivity.
Instructions for Use
Step-by-Step Application Process:
  • Cutting: Use cutting tools (MTL20, MTL30, MTL40) to precisely cut carrier tape ends
  • Setup: Position splice clip (teeth up) on placement pins of splice tool
  • Positioning: Center both carrier tapes (cover tape up) on placement pins and secure with clamps
  • Crimping: Crimp splice tool handle to connect carrier tapes securely
  • Application: Remove release liner and apply single strip of splice tape to cover tape
  • Securing: Press firmly to ensure strong adhesion and complete the splice
Optimal Performance Tips:
  • Perform splicing in clean environments to prevent contamination
  • Ensure proper carrier tape alignment to prevent feeding issues
  • Apply firm, even pressure when securing splices for maximum adhesion
