Features
Fan shaped sheets are not just a simple piece of paper, they are usually made of composite materials to meet the needs of waterproofing, oil resistance, and heat resistance.
Substrate
- Food grade wood pulp paper: provides primary support strength and rigidity.
- PE (polyethylene) coating: Covering the inner and outer surfaces (or only the inner surface) of paper with a thin layer of food grade PE plastic film.
- Inner wall coating: prevents liquid penetration, ensures that the paper cup does not leak water, and is heat-resistant (used for hot beverage cups).
- Outer wall coating: moisture-proof, prevents the outside of the paper cup from softening due to condensation water, and provides a printing surface.
Special Types
- Single sided PE coated fan-shaped sheet: usually used for cold drink cups because there is no need for anti condensation water on the outside.
- Double sided PE coated fan-shaped sheet: used for hot beverage cups, both inside and outside require protection.
- PLA (polylactic acid) coated fan-shaped sheet: a bio based material made from renewable plant resources such as corn, which is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
