Nylon 66 fiber offers wool-comparable elasticity, superior abrasion resistance, and lightweight yet high-strength properties, making it ideal for high-performance applications.
Among commercial synthetic fibers, it is second only to polypropylene in lightness. With specific gravity lower than polyester fiber (1.38), it can be processed into fine, soft, and smooth silk for durable fabrics. It shares polyester's corrosion resistance and is resistant to insects and mold.
