Nylon 66 fiber offers exceptional abrasion resistance surpassing all other fibers, with excellent elastic recovery comparable to wool. Its lightweight characteristic (specific gravity of only 1.14) makes it second only to polypropylene among commercial synthetic fibers.
This polyamide fiber can be processed into fine, soft, and smooth silk for weaving durable fabrics. It shares polyester fiber's corrosion resistance while being insect-proof and mold-resistant.
