This High-shrinkage Polyester DTY (Draw Textured Yarn) in specification 50D/24F is a specialized yarn designed to create unique texture and bulk in blended fabric applications.

 Application 

This yarn is primarily used to impart bulk, stretch, and a soft tactile surface to fabrics through the heat-setting process.

  1. Woven Fabrics: Used as weft or warp in combination with Cotton, Rayon, or Regular Polyester to create peach-skin effects, micro-crepe textures, or seersucker appearances after heat treatment. The shrinkage differential causes the non-shrink fibers to pucker or loft.

  2. Knitted Fabrics: Ideal for creating lightweight sweaters, sportswear, and innerwear where a soft, bloomy hand-feel and slight elasticity are desired without using spandex.

  3. Core-spun Yarn Base: Often used as the core in core-spun spinning, wrapped with natural fibers to produce yarns that, after heat treatment, result in a bulky yet natural-feeling fabric with enhanced coverage.
