The load-sensing hydraulic pump is an intelligent hydraulic pump designed based on the concept of "oil supply on demand", and its core principle integrates pressure feedback and flow regulation technology. In addition to the conventional oil suction and discharge mechanism (mostly axial piston structure), the pump body is also equipped with a load-sensing valve, a pressure compensator, and a variable control cylinder. When the excavator performs an action (such as boom lifting), the load pressure of the executive component (boom cylinder) is transmitted to the load-sensing valve through the feedback oil circuit. The valve compares the load pressure with the outlet pressure of the pump and calculates the pressure difference (usually maintaining a constant difference of 1-2MPa); then, the pressure compensator controls the action of the variable control cylinder according to this difference and adjusts the displacement of the pump - if the load pressure increases, the outlet pressure of the pump increases synchronously, and the displacement is automatically adjusted according to the flow demand, ensuring that the output flow exactly meets the movement speed demand of the executive component, and avoiding energy loss caused by excess oil overflowing through the relief valve.
