The CA168 is designed for a wide range of smart metering applications, featuring advanced 3DES security encryption technology and a modular communication unit. It supports a basic current of 5 Amps and a maximum current of 80 Amps, with enhanced AMR/AMI functionalities. The meter is housed in a compact, BS8565 standard enclosure, offering robust RF immunity withstanding up to 30V/m and an IP54 rating, making it ideal for operation in harsh environments.
The meter operates with a plug-in module for DLMS/COSEM compliant data collection and network communication. Its modular design allows utilities to choose from PLC, RF, GPRS, 3G, and 4G LTE cellular data networks, depending on local conditions, offering a cost-effective solution for both installation and ongoing maintenance. Instead of replacing the entire meter, only the modules need to be upgraded or replaced, minimizing operational costs.
Additionally, the CA168 now supports remote mobile payments, offering users greater convenience and flexibility for managing their utility services. This feature simplifies payment processes and enhances the overall user experience, making it easier to track and pay bills remotely.
