The CA168-M is a perfect integration of high precision metrology and state-of-the-art wireless communication technology. It is a single phase two wires electric meter completed in a BS footprint mounting keypad based case with 13kV surge & lightening protection features and 30Vm of RF immunity withstand, being able to operate in very severe environment for residential and light commercial industrial applications.

The CA168-M is provided with a plug & play  module for communications . This modular design provides utility and service providers free choice of PLC/RF/GPRS communication and 3G / 4G LTE cellular data networks according to local infrastructure conditions, which greatly reduces their operational cost. The module can be easily removed and replaced without changing the entire meter. Through its wireless communication with an AMR AMI back-end server, a utility and service provider is offered freedom of management settings inclusive of ,but not limited to, free basic unit, emergency credit, repayment control, power limit, TOU rate, automatic meter readout, etc.
