1. Brief Introduction

Francis Turbine, also called mixed flow turbine and variable pressure turbine, is widely used in hydropower plants with low, middle and high water head ranging from 25m onwards to 550m commonly 30m to 300m. When the water flow through the turbine wheel, it enters to radial, axial flow, so it is also called the radial axial flow turbine.
