KQ160 is a cationic hydrolyzed protein that undergoes quaternization based on hydrolyzed keratin. It is a multifunctional conditioning additive widely used in personal care products. The active quaternary ammonium group covalently binds with hydrolyzed keratin, combining the moisturizing and film-forming properties of hydrolyzed keratin with the conditioning and adsorption properties of alkyl quaternary ammonium salts. Therefore, KQ160 has a significantly higher affinity for hair and skin than for hydrolyzed keratin. Effectively supplementing the loss of hair protein and lipids, repairing damaged hair quality, and enhancing the brightness and smoothness of hair due to its cationic properties; Good and stable water solubility significantly improves the moisturizing and conditioning performance of wash off products.
