BTMS50 or Behentrimonium Methosulfate, is a mild emulsifier and conditioner that is ideal for use in hair or skin cosmetics. It is a vegetable emulsifying wax made from rapeseed .
Be sure to add it to your shampoo and conditioner recipes if you need to achieve softness, smoothness and hydration. Plus, it helps detangle your hair and reduces static energy created when combing, so it's sure to become your favorite tool.
BTMS50 is a very mild cationic emulsifier, making it suitable for use in both rinse-out and rinse-free products. BTMS-50 contains 50% of Behentrimonium Methosulfate, whereas BTMS contains only 25%. BTMS-50 also contains the humectant Butylene Glycol.
