Measurement Principle
Conductivity sensors measure the ability of water to conduct electricity, which depends on the concentration of dissolved ions from salts and minerals. When electrodes are immersed in water and an electric current is applied, charged ions migrate toward the electrodes, enabling electrical conduction through the solution.
Conductivity represents the reciprocal of resistivity and serves as a critical indicator for assessing water quality by revealing the concentration of electrolytes present. The measurement is temperature-dependent, with specific conductance typically standardized at 25°C for accurate comparisons.
Installation Methods
Before installation, remove the electrode protective cap and use appropriate mounting brackets or accessories.
- Sidewall Installation: Ensure interface tilt angle exceeds 15 degrees

- Pipe Installation: Account for pipe diameter, flow velocity, and pressure conditions
