Scope of Application

The barrier dry microbial penetration performance tester is specifically designed to measure the performance of materials in preventing the penetration of dry particles within the size range of human skin flakes by bacteria. During the test, the samples are fixed separately on a container. In these containers, there are 5 containers carrying Bacillus subtilis talcum powder, and 1 container with uninfected talcum powder as a control. A petri dish is inserted close to the bottom of each container below the time mark.

The equipment that supports the container is made to vibrate by a gas ball oscillator. All the talcum powder that penetrates the sample falls onto the petri dish, and the petri dish is then removed for cultivation. The experimental results are evaluated by counting the growing colonies.
