ASTM D3786 Geosynthetic Material Burst Strength Tester Hydraulic Bursting Strength Testing Machine
The geosynthetic material burst strength tester is designed to measure the burst strength of geotextiles, geotextile composites, and other geosynthetic materials composed of geotextiles and membranes.
The sample is clamped onto an elastic diaphragm, and liquid pressure is applied beneath the diaphragm to cause expansion. The liquid volume increases at a constant rate until sample rupture occurs. The burst strength and burst height are measured at this point. The difference between the diaphragm's burst strength without the sample and with the sample present determines the sample's burst strength.
ASTM D3786-2008, SL/T 235-13-2012, and other relevant standards.
