Polyurethane Submarine Cable Bending Limiter Resistance To Water, Oil & Grease
The bending limiter provides essential submarine cable bending protection at the lower ports of offshore wind power I pipe and J pipe installations. It is mounted on the buoyancy module outside the marine riser column.
Key structural components include:
- Semi-annular female end
- Semi-annular male end
- Snap ring
- Snap groove
- Auxiliary pipeline channel
- Riser column channel
The semi-annular female end connects with the male end via snap ring and groove mechanism. The snap groove is integrated into the female end's outer sides, while the snap ring is installed on the male end for secure connection.
With China's expanding offshore energy development, reliable submarine cable protection becomes increasingly critical. Our solutions address the complex challenges of marine environments, where flexible risers offer superior compliance and durability compared to rigid alternatives.
- Modular bite structure with adjustable length for environmental adaptability
- Harvard structure module design
- Premium polyurethane material with exceptional deformation, corrosion, and wear resistance
- Minimum tensile strength: 45MPa
- Maximum material density: 1.2 × 10³kg/m³ (prevents additional underwater cable weight)
- 8t lateral pressure capacity
- Bending radius compliant with submarine cable specifications
- Excellent elasticity and corrosion resistance
- Superior hydrolysis resistance and insulating properties
- Protects cables from anchor shocks with urethane elasticity
- Cable-friendly design prevents cover damage
- No abrasion under harsh marine conditions
- Exceptional corrosion resistance in pipe environments
- 50+ year durability in submarine applications
- Excellent surface and dielectric properties
- 1.0m-2.0m basic units reduce weight and installation time
- Eliminates need for barge cranes or secondary vessels during laying
