Introduction to 440c Martensitic Stainless Steel:
440C steel is a martensitic stainless steel containing 1.0% carbon and 16-18% chromium. It offers strong rust resistance and is considered high-quality stainless steel.

Scope of application: Primarily used to manufacture bearing parts for corrosive environments and non-lubricated strong oxidizing atmospheres. 440C has excellent high-temperature dimensional stability, making it suitable as corrosion-resistant high-temperature bearing steel. It's also used for high-quality knives, medical scalpels, scissors, nozzles, and bearings. Note that 440C has limited ability to withstand dynamic loads.

Features:
440 series is high-strength cutting tool steel with slightly higher carbon content. Proper heat treatment can yield high strength with hardness up to 58HRC, among the hardest stainless steels available. Common applications include razor blades. Common models include 440A, 440B, 440C, and 440F (easy to process).

Hardness:
- Annealing: ≤269HB
- Quenching and tempering: ≥58HRC

Products can be delivered either with or without heat treatment, depending on customer requirements.
