321 stainless steel is a Ni-Cr-Ti type austenitic stainless steel with properties similar to 304 stainless steel, but with improved resistance to intergranular corrosion and higher temperature strength due to titanium addition. The titanium content effectively controls chromium carbide formation, enhancing wear resistance and high temperature performance.
