Hastelloy C276 exhibits outstanding mechanical properties with high strength and toughness characteristics. The alloy presents machining challenges due to its hardness - at 15% deformation rate, it's approximately twice as hard as 18-8 stainless steel.
This alloy demonstrates sensitivity at medium temperatures, with increasing sensitization tendency at higher deformation rates. At elevated temperatures, it may absorb harmful elements that could compromise its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
As the most corrosion-resistant modern metal material, Hastelloy C276 is particularly effective against:

- Sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts
