The Allen-Bradley 1734-IE4C module is a POINT I/O 4-channel high-density current input module. This analog module features:
- Channel-level diagnostics with electronic bits and LED indicators
- Delta-Sigma conversion of analog data to signed integer format
- Channel-level data alarming (4 set-points per channel)
- Scaling to different engineering units
- Rack-optimized connections between CompactLogix controllers or ControlLogix and discrete I/O modules
- Direct connections between internet-capable connection originator and I/O modules via backplane

Installation Notes
The 1734-IE4C is grounded via the DIN rail to chassis ground. For proper grounding:
- Use zinc-plated yellow-chromate steel DIN rails
- Secure DIN rail to mounting surface every 7.8 inches (200 mm)
- Use end-anchors correctly
Module installation can be done before or after base is secured. Always switch off backplane power during module insertion/removal to prevent electrical arcs.
