- 420W Models: Industrial automation, robotics, material handling, packaging machinery
- 50W Models: Small automation devices, laboratory equipment, medical instruments, precision positioning systems
The primary difference is the encoder type. The 420G model uses a standard 24-bit incremental encoder, while the 420YG model includes an enhanced 24+8-bit absolute encoder that provides absolute position information for improved homing and position retention capabilities.
The 50W models are designed for applications where space constraints, lower power consumption, or smaller torque requirements are priorities. They offer the same encoder precision and build quality in a more compact package, making them ideal for small automation systems, medical devices, and laboratory equipment.
The "-6" suffix denotes a reduced shaft length variant, with the shaft shortened by 6mm compared to standard models. This is designed for applications with limited axial space or specific coupling requirements.
While the electrical interface (Hall sensors and encoder signals) is similar, the 50W models have different electrical parameters (lower current, different winding resistance). It's recommended to use a drive controller that is properly sized for the specific motor's electrical characteristics. Some controllers may support both ranges with appropriate parameter settings.
Standard configurations of the 50W models are typically available within 3-4 weeks. Custom configurations or extended shaft variants may require additional lead time. Please contact our sales team for current availability and lead time details.
