A1: DR has a mechanically adjustable spring for pressure setting only. DRG also includes a pilot pressure port (X) so the pressure setpoint can be adjusted remotely by applying pilot pressure — useful for centralized HPUs or automated pressure changeover.
A2: Yes. If no pilot pressure is applied to port X, the pump regulates to the spring-set minimum/maximum pressure per the internal adjustment. Applying pilot pressure raises the effective set pressure proportionally.
A3: No. The A4VSO series is designed exclusively for open circuit (open loop) systems. For closed-loop travel/wheel drives, use the A4VG or A4VM series.
