A4VSO125DRG/30L-PPB25N00 Rexroth A4VSO125 High Pressure Piston Pump Made in Germany
The Rexroth A4VSO125DRG/30L-PPB25N00 is a genuine German-manufactured high-pressure axial piston pump from the A4VSO series, featuring DRG pressure compensated control with remote pilot pressure setting capability. With 125 cm³/r displacement and PPB25 SAE flange & ports, this pump maintains a preset system pressure by automatically reducing displacement when the setpoint is reached — while also allowing the pressure setting to be adjusted remotely via an external pilot signal at port X.
What sets DRG apart from standard DR is this dual-mode pressure control: the pump responds both to its internal spring setting AND to an external pilot pressure, giving operators flexibility to change system pressure from a distance without accessing the pump itself. This makes the A4VSO125DRG ideal for centralized hydraulic power stations, multi-press plants, and test facilities where pressure must be varied per process step. Rated for 350 bar continuous / 400 bar peak.

Standard DR pumps require manual adjustment of a spring screw to change pressure. DRG eliminates this limitation:
- Base pressure is set by the internal spring (minimum system pressure)
- Remote pilot pressure applied to port X raises the effective pressure setpoint proportionally
- Pressure can be changed on-the-fly from a control room, PLC-driven pilot valve, or remote panel
- No need to stop the pump or send a technician to manually adjust the compensator
- Built-in pressure limitation protects against over-pressurization
- Pump automatically reduces flow to near-zero once set pressure is achieved — saving energy
➡ This is the pump to choose when your system needs flexible, remotely adjustable pressure control without complex electronic pump controls.
- Centralized Hydraulic Power Stations: one HPU feeding multiple presses or machines with different pressure requirements per cycle
- Multi-Step Press Operations: forging, stamping, or molding where clamp pressure differs from eject/advance pressure
- Test Benches & Laboratories: quick pressure setpoint changes without manual pump adjustment
- Process Plant Hydraulics: filter press, conveyor, and mixer circuits needing periodic pressure changes
- Offshore / Marine HPUs: remote pressure adjustment from bridge or control room
- Retrofit Projects: upgrading fixed-pressure DR pumps to remotely adjustable DRG

A1: DR uses only a mechanical spring to set pressure — you must turn the adjuster screw to change it. DRG adds a pilot port (X) so you can raise or adjust the pressure setpoint remotely using an external pilot pressure source, without touching the pump.
A2: The pump operates at its spring-set base pressure (typically the minimum setting of the range). Applying pilot pressure increases the effective setpoint proportionally up to the maximum allowed by the compensator spring range.
A3: Typically 0-25 bar pilot pressure at port X can shift the pump pressure setpoint across its full range. Exact ratio depends on the compensator spring installed — confirm with your Rexroth datasheet or distributor.
