ADSS cable features a loose-jacketed stranded structure with single-mode G652D optical fibers enclosed in high-modulus plastic loose tubes filled with water-repellent compound. The cable core consists of loose tubes twisted around central nonmetallic reinforcement (FRP), with gaps filled by water-blocking filler. A layer of aramid fiber provides reinforcement, protected by a polyethylene or electric trace-resistant outer sheath.
