GYTC8S is a type of self-supporting outdoor fiber optic cable, designed with specialized features that make it suitable for use in aerial applications. It is known for its resistance to moisture and crushing, thanks to its figure 8 structure and polyethylene (PE) sheath. Corrugated steel tape armored and PE outer sheath provide the cable with additional crush and gun shot resistance features.
The center of the cable is comprised of a steel-wire strength member, which increases its tensile strength and is surrounded by a loose tube and water blocking system. This impact structure guarantees excellent mechanical and environmental performance, making it a powerful, reliable cable for outdoor applications.
