Adenophora stricta Miq. Is a perennial herb of the genus Adenophora in the Campanulaceae family. Its roots are carrot-like, unbranched, and can grow up to 1 meter tall. The corolla is often purple or blue, the pedicel is short, the lower part of the filaments expands into a sheet-like shape, and the anthers are slender. The ovary is inferior and there are numerous ovules. The seeds are oval-shaped. It blooms in July and August.
