Product Overview

Softening Temperature Test Equipment is a precision measuring instrument used to characterize the thermal deformation and Vicat softening point temperature of polymer materials including rubber, plastics, fibers, coatings, adhesives and polymer matrix composites.

Thermal Deformation Temperature Test

This test measures the temperature at which a specified deflection is obtained when a standard test specimen is subjected to bending stress to produce a specified nominal surface stress in accordance with international standards. This test is crucial for both quality control and research and development of plastic materials.

Vicat Softening Point Temperature Test

This test determines the temperature at which a standard indenter penetrates 1 mm into the surface of a test specimen under a specified load. It is used to identify and differentiate the softening performance of various types of thermoplastic materials.
