TLC59108IPWR 8-Bit Fm+ I2C-Bus Constant-Current LED Sink Driver
The TLC59108 is an I2C bus controlled 8-bit LED driver optimized for red/green/blue/amber (RGBA) color mixing and backlight applications.
- Eight LED drivers with programmable outputs (Off, On, Brightness, Group Dimming/Blinking)
- 25-MHz internal oscillator requiring no external components
- 1-MHz Fast Mode Plus compatible I2C bus interface
- Eight constant-current output channels
- Internal power-on reset and active-low reset
- 256-step (8-bit) linear programmable brightness per LED output
- Noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs with no glitch on power up
- 256-step group brightness control and group blinking
- Supports hot insertion
- Four hardware address pins allowing 14 devices on same I2C bus
- 3.3-V or 5-V supply voltage operation
- Software-programmable I2C bus addresses and software reset feature
- Open-load/overtemperature detection for individual LED error detection
- Constant output current adjustable through external resistor (10mA to 120mA)
- Maximum output voltage: 17 V
