AD2428WCCSZ‑RL is an A²B automotive audio transceiver for multi‑node audio networking with bus power supply, manufactured by Analog Devices (ADI).
Product Overview
This A²B automotive audio bus transceiver enables transmission of multi-channel digital audio, bus power supply, and remote control over a single twisted-pair cable, simplifying automotive audio wiring and reducing EMI interference.
Core Functions
A²B Bus Communication
Supports point-to-point and daisy-chain multi-node networking via one differential twisted-pair cable with maximum transmission distance of 15 meters. Integrates audio data, clock, and synchronization signals without separate clock lines.
Audio Interfaces
- I²S/TDM: 32 bidirectional channels, sampling rate 8 kHz-192 kHz, data width 8-32 bit
- PDM interface: Direct connection to 4-channel PDM digital microphones for microphone arrays
Remote Bus Power Supply
Host supplies power (6-20 V, max. 200 mA) to slave nodes through the communication cable, eliminating power wires. Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection.
Control and Configuration
Configurable via I²C registers, supporting cross-bus I²C communication. Can be set as host or slave, programmable with SigmaStudio graphical software. Each chip has unique ID for harness cross-identification.
