2 Flutes Aluminum End Mills High Accuracy With Heat Resistance
Product Description:
Unique polishing passivation process significantly decreases the coefficient of friction. It is especially suitable for aluminum with gold, copper alloy, tempered plastic, and other non-metallic materials;
The sharp blade design minimizes cutting resistance and effectively reduces the formation of burrs and vibration marks. The optimized chip evacuation function is enhanced through a deep groove design;
By undergoing fine grinding, the issue of chip sticking is resolved completely. This cutter can meet higher demands for appearance effects and enhanced metal removal efficiency;
Features:
Material:
Typically made from carbide (solid carbide or carbide-tipped) for rigidity and heat resistance.
Flute Count:
Usually 2 or 3 flutes. Fewer flutes prevent chip clogging and improve chip evacuation (important for soft materials like aluminum).
Helix Angle:
High helix angles (typically 35°–45°) enhance chip removal and reduce heat buildup.
Surface Coating (or uncoated):
Often uncoated or coated with ZrN, TiB2, or DLC for better lubricity and reduced aluminum adhesion (galling). TiN is less common due to aluminum’s tendency to stick to it.
Geometry:
Polished flutes and sharp cutting edges help reduce built-up edge (BUE) and increase tool life. Corner radius or ball nose may be used for specific applications.
