Product Overview

This non-woven, mesh-like thermoplastic adhesive sheet is manufactured from ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) or polyolefin systems (PE, PP, metallocene-modified PO). The unique web structure delivers low add-on weight, excellent breathability, and superior handling compared to traditional films or liquid adhesives.

EVA/PO hot-melt webs provide a cost-effective, rapid, and soft-hand bonding solution for sun visor laminations, perfectly suited for fabric-to-foam and foam-to-core applications. Select lower-softening EVA grades for textile comfort layers and higher-softening PO/EVA formulations for PP core bonding and high-temperature environments.

Processing Guidelines
Equipment Requirements

Compatible with flatbed presses, belt/continuous roller laminators, heated platens, and calendar lines.

Typical Processing Parameters
  • Bondline Temperature: EVA 120-150°C; PO 130-170°C at interface
  • Dwell Time: 5-20 seconds in press (continuous lines: equivalent thermal exposure)
  • Pressure: 0.2-0.6 MPa (sufficient to wet foam/fabric without crushing)
  • Cooling: Under light pressure to secure bond and prevent spring-back
Processing Tips
  • Pre-dry hygroscopic fabrics before application
  • Avoid overheating foam materials
  • Use release paper or PTFE belt to prevent sticking
  • Maintain web centering to eliminate squeeze-out lines
Key Features & Benefits
  • Solvent-free formulation with low VOC emissions and clean processing
  • Rapid thermoplastic bonding with rework capability
  • Soft hand feel, excellent drape, and superior conformability for foam and textile laminations
  • Broad material compatibility with foams, fabrics, and interior plastics

Frequently Asked Questions
What is EVA web hot melt adhesive?
EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) web hot melt adhesive is a non-woven mesh adhesive sheet that melts upon heating, creating strong and flexible bonds between materials. It is solvent-free, clean to handle, and easy to process in automotive interior production.
How should the adhesive web be stored?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally below 30°C, to maintain optimal adhesive performance.
Which materials can it bond in sun visor manufacturing?
Commonly bonds face fabrics (woven, knitted, nonwoven), PU foams, PVC skins, and core substrates like PP boards, injection-molded PP shells, or composite boards.
