This non-woven, mesh-like thermoplastic adhesive sheet is manufactured from ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) or polyolefin systems (PE, PP, metallocene-modified PO). The unique web structure delivers low add-on weight, excellent breathability, and superior handling compared to traditional films or liquid adhesives.
EVA/PO hot-melt webs provide a cost-effective, rapid, and soft-hand bonding solution for sun visor laminations, perfectly suited for fabric-to-foam and foam-to-core applications. Select lower-softening EVA grades for textile comfort layers and higher-softening PO/EVA formulations for PP core bonding and high-temperature environments.
Compatible with flatbed presses, belt/continuous roller laminators, heated platens, and calendar lines.
- Bondline Temperature: EVA 120-150°C; PO 130-170°C at interface
- Dwell Time: 5-20 seconds in press (continuous lines: equivalent thermal exposure)
- Pressure: 0.2-0.6 MPa (sufficient to wet foam/fabric without crushing)
- Cooling: Under light pressure to secure bond and prevent spring-back
- Pre-dry hygroscopic fabrics before application
- Avoid overheating foam materials
- Use release paper or PTFE belt to prevent sticking
- Maintain web centering to eliminate squeeze-out lines
- Solvent-free formulation with low VOC emissions and clean processing
- Rapid thermoplastic bonding with rework capability
- Soft hand feel, excellent drape, and superior conformability for foam and textile laminations
- Broad material compatibility with foams, fabrics, and interior plastics
