Product Description
- For chemical-engineering duties the grade remains austenitic from –196 °C up to 600 °C and resists nitric, acetic and alkaline solutions as well as many organic solvents. It is therefore specified for urea high-pressure condensers, nitric-acid absorption-coil coolers, chlor-alkali brine pre-heaters and PTA solvent coolers. With 590–690 MPa tensile strength and ≥ 39 J/cm² impact toughness the tubing survives frequent thermal shocks and pressure swings, complying with GOST, PED and AD2000 pressure-vessel codes.
- GOST9941-81 12X18H12T seamless tube is a Russian-standard Ti-stabilized austenitic stainless pipe with ~18 % Cr and 12 % Ni. The addition of 0.6 % Ti prevents inter-granular attack in chloride- or oxidizing-acid environments. In cooling circuits it withstands 3–4 m/s flow of seawater, recycled water or cooling-tower spray without pitting or chloride SCC, so it is widely used for power-plant condensers, central coolers, chemical-water plate heat-exchangers and LNG open-rack vaporizers, lengthening outage intervals and cutting leakage risk.
