ASME SA213 TP304 seamless stainless boiler tube is the “all-round” choice for heat-transfer equipment. With 18 % Cr and 8 % Ni it resists oxidation and moist-chloride attack from 150 °C up to 650 °C. Cold-drawn seamless processing ensures uniform wall thickness and low surface roughness, minimizing thermal resistance on the steam or thermal-oil side. The tube is therefore found in utility HP feed-water heaters, HRSG coils, chemical solvent-recovery evaporators and sanitary CIP heaters, raising overall heat-transfer coefficients without enlarging the envelope.
In boiler and pressure-vessel fabrication TP304 offers 515 MPa tensile strength and ≥ 35 % elongation, surviving 10 MPa internal pressure while absorbing start-up/shut-down thermal expansion. Mandatory 100 % eddy-current plus hydrostatic testing and ASTM A262 Practice A inter-granular corrosion qualification ensure long-term reliability. For units that undergo frequent or SIPS chemical cleaning, the smooth bore minimizes deposit hold-up and pit initiation, routinely giving bundles a 15-year service life.

TP304 offers excellent corrosion resistance and weldability, with composition of chromium (18-20%) and nickel (8-10.5%). While resistant to many corrosive environments, it may not be suitable for chloride-containing conditions.
