Product brief introduction

This type of mill, called an open mixing mill, operates intermittently to process plastic materials. The device is built from two horizontal rollers that can be set at different spacing. Its essential function is to produce a uniform, plasticized blend of raw compounds to be fed into the calender. When working with rubber, the rollers apply opposing shear and extrusion forces. Through successive mixing cycles, both physical blending and chemical chain scission occur, which allows all ingredients to be evenly distributed throughout the rubber.
