This is a very precise observation. As the load-bearing and supporting structure of a PV system, the performance of the surface coating on PV mounting structures directly affects the service life of the entire system. Black is one of the most mainstream color choices.

Core Performance Requirements

PV mounting structures are exposed to outdoor conditions for long periods, enduring sunlight, rain, salt spray (in coastal areas), temperature fluctuations, and other challenges. Therefore, their powder coatings must meet the following key performance criteria:

  • Good Physical and Mechanical Properties: These include high adhesion (reaching Grade 0 or Grade 1 in the cross-cut test), impact resistance (withstanding a certain level of impact without peeling), and wear resistance. These properties address minor collisions and friction during installation and use.
  • High and Low Temperature Resistance: The coating must remain stable within the extreme temperature range of -40℃ to 80℃, without softening, embrittlement, or peeling.
