Rockwell R70-80 Hardness Polypropylene The Perfect Material for Your Production
Product Description:
Polypropylene (PP) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer produced by polymerization of propylene monomer. The chemical formula of PP is (C3H6)ₙ, and it has a density ranging from 0.89 to 0.92 g/cm³, which is the lowest among thermoplastic resins.
The melting point of PP falls within the range of 164 to 176 ℃, while its operating temperature spans from -30 to 140 ℃. Noteworthy characteristics of PP include its lightweight nature, excellent wear resistance, as well as strong resistance to chemical corrosion.

Features:
Physical Performance:
It is a white waxy solid, non-toxic and odorless, with a transparent appearance and lightweight texture. It has excellent fatigue resistance, making it suitable for applications involving repeated bending or twisting. It has a water absorption rate of only 0.01% and shows excellent water stability.
Chemical Properties:
It is resistant to acid, alkali, alcohol, and other corrosive substances, but has a weak tolerance to aromatic solvents (such as benzene). It boasts good biocompatibility and meets medical material safety standards.
Processing Performance:
It can be formed through extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and other processes. It has a shrinkage rate of 1.8% to 2.5% (which can be reduced to 0.7% by adding glass fiber). It is easy to dye, but caution should be taken to prevent the possible precipitation of small molecule substances at high temperatures.
