Thermoplastic is a homogeneous dry mixture of resin, pigment, glass beads, and filler. Thermoplastic road marking paint, also called thermoplastic coating or hot melt marking paint, is like a powder paint. It is fast drying and can be driven over after a few minutes. To help with identification of road markings in the dark, reflective glass beads are added as they improve the brightness as well as durability.
