Duplex stainless steel features a unique metallographic structure with approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite, combining the advantages of both stainless steel types. This provides excellent toughness and weldability from austenitic stainless steel, plus high strength and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking from ferritic stainless steel.

Duplex 2205 seamless tubes are essential for critical offshore systems exposed to corrosive seawater and process fluids. Applications include seawater cooling systems, process piping, fire water systems, and structural components. The high strength allows for thinner wall designs, reducing platform weight while maintaining superior corrosion resistance in high-chloride environments.
Our comprehensive quality control system includes three-step inspection: material composition verification, dimensional and surface control during production, and 100% final inspection. Non-destructive testing includes PMI chemical analysis, eddy current or hydrostatic flaw detection to ensure full ASTM A789 compliance.
