OPGW cable combines optical transmission capabilities with overhead ground wire functionality for power transmission systems. This dual-purpose cable serves as both a fiber optic communication line and a protective ground wire, offering lightning strike protection and short circuit current conduction.
Construction & Design
The cable features stainless steel tube optical units, aluminum cladding steel wires, and aluminum alloy wires. Available in central stainless steel tube and layer stranding structures, the design can be customized according to environmental conditions and specific customer requirements.

Packaging & Shipping
Cables are supplied in specified lengths and shipped on separate iron-wooden drums. The minimum barrel diameter exceeds 30 times the cable diameter. Cable ends are sealed with protective caps to prevent water penetration and remain accessible for testing. Each drum includes a final inspection test report with attenuation performance data for all fibers.
