This single-piece Viton-rubber valve-stem seal is designed for both inlet and exhaust valves of Perkins 1004-40, 1004-40T, 1006-60, 1006-60T and 1106 series engines. These power units trace their lineage back to the 4.0-litre T4.236 and AT4.236 turbocharged diesels. Common applications include:
The seal snaps over the 8 mm valve stem and seats against the guide boss, preventing crank-case oil from being drawn into the combustion chamber while still allowing the valve to rotate and self-clean.
