Engine Applications
This intake valve is engineered for Perkins 403C-15, 403C-17, 403D-15, 403D-15T, 403D-17, 404C-22, 404C-22T, 404D-22, 404D-22T and 404D-22TA diesel engines (2.2-2.8 L capacity). These engines are widely installed in compact agricultural tractors such as Massey Ferguson 1700 E-series, telescopic handlers, mobile generator sets, and small industrial sweepers where emissions compliance to EU Stage IIIA / EPA Tier 4 final is required. Field-rated at 26-50 kW operating at 2600-2800 min⁻¹, the valve maintains volumetric efficiency above 92% across the speed band while ensuring high swirl intensity for clean combustion.

Material & Performance Features
The 21-4N alloy contains 9% Mn, 4% Cr, 3% Ni and 0.45% C, providing continuous hot strength to 850°C and resistance to lead and sulphur corrosion when low-grade fuels are used. Optional Stellite-faced seat overlay (1.5 mm thick) is available for gaseous fuel or CNG conversions.
