This exhaust valve is specifically engineered for Perkins 403C-15, 403C-17, 404C-22, and 404C-22T four-cylinder diesel engines (2.2-2.8L capacity). These engines power compact agricultural tractors including Massey Ferguson 1700 E-series, mini-excavators, 50 Hz prime-duty generator sets, and small tele-handlers.

The engines are rated 26-50 kW at 2600-2800 RPM and comply with EU Stage IIIA / EPA Tier 4-final emission standards. The valve is designed to withstand 850°C combustion temperatures while maintaining seat concentricity below 0.02 mm TIR, ensuring blow-by remains within 1% even after 12,000 hours of cyclic operation.

Manufactured from 21-4N (UNS S63015) austenitic stainless steel, solution-treated at 1050°C and age-hardened to 28 HRC head center for superior creep strength.

The 21-4N alloy composition includes 9% Mn, 4% Cr, 3% Ni, and 0.45% C, providing continuous hot strength up to 850°C and resistance to lead/sulphur corrosion when using low-grade fuels.

Chrome plating reduces stem wear groove depth to less than 0.02 mm after 6,000 hours of operation, while the roll-burnished fillet delays thermal-fatigue cracking by 30%.
