Application:

The 33817117 seal is a metal-clad FKM (Viton) intake/exhaust stem seal used on Perkins 1004-4, 1006-6 and 1106C/D engines. It is therefore fitted to Liu-Gong CLG835/842/856 loaders, JCB 531-70 tele-handlers, FG Wilson P88-200 kVA generator sets and MF 4300-series tractors that share the same cylinder-head machining.

Technical specifications:

Lip-type seal for 8 mm valve stem, 14 mm OD, 7 mm height; spring-loaded Viton lip withstands −30 °C to 120 °C in 15W-40 oil mist and 0.5 bar crank-case pulse. The lip is moulded to Ra 0.4 µm to micro-seal the stem and prevent oil carry-over into the intake/exhaust port.

Material & performance features:

FKM/nitrile blend is asbestos-free and bonded to a steel carrier for 25 % tear strength vs. cork substitutes; compression set <15 % after 70 h at 120 °C, providing >8 000 h leak-free life in 24/7 generator duty before replacement is required.
