Dust filter belongs to deep filtration, characterized by the suspension of solid particles smaller than the diameter of the filter medium. Particle filtration occurs through filter medium in slender curved channels where fluid impact and extrusion trap particles and attach them tightly to the wall of the hole.
Dust filter is suitable for applications with very small suspended particles and low content levels, typically with solid content not higher than 0.01%. It can remove 0.02-100μm solid particles and is primarily used to remove fine suspended particles and colloidal substances that cannot be eliminated by general sand filtration, such as in drinking water purification.
