Working Principle
Liquid silicone injection moulding machines employ cold runner technology. After precisely blending the low-temperature liquid A and B components of silicone in the correct ratio, the mixture is pressurized by a screw and injected into the high-temperature mould cavity where it rapidly cures through chemical cross-linking.
Working Principle Flow
- Raw Material Delivery and Mixing: Two-component silicone (A+B) is conveyed in fixed ratio to static mixer for thorough blending.
- Injection Moulding: Mixed silicone is injected through cold runner system into preheated mould cavity.
- High-Temperature Vulcanisation: Chemical cross-linking reaction rapidly solidifies silicone into stable products.
- Pressure Holding and Cooling: Constant pressure ensures dimensional accuracy before cooling and product removal.
- Automation: Continuous cycle operation minimizes manual intervention for high efficiency.
Differences from Conventional Injection Moulding
- Raw Material: Uses liquid components vs. solid materials in conventional machines
- Forming Method: Chemical cross-linking (thermosetting) vs. cooling solidification
- Temperature Control: Cold runner with heated mould vs. heated barrel in conventional systems
